Out of Hours Claims

If your vehicle is non-driveable due to a Road Traffic Accident our Out of Hours service will arrange recovery of your vehicle. If your vehicle does not require recovery, then please contact the Claims Team during the above hours.

Has Your Taxi Been In An Accident?

If you’re in an accident:

  • do not admit at the scene that it was your fault
  • do exchange names and details with the other drivers and any independent witnesses
  • do take photographs that you may be able to later use as evidence

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION – For taxi claims where your insurer is listed below you must report a claim  directly TO THE INSURER within 24 hours to prevent any excess increase or to secure an excess reduction.

  • Trident – 0344 873 8183 – £900 excess increase if claims not reported within 24hrs
  • LV Taxi – 0800 028 9655 – excess halved on accidental claims if reported within 24hrs
  • Antilo –  0800 997 8834 – excess reduced by £150 on claims reported within 24hrs
  • TFP – 0800 169 4066  – excess reduced by £200 on claims reported within 24hrs

You will find the name of your insurer on your policy documents.

 

 

Has Your Taxi Been Stolen?

If your vehicle is stolen:

  • do report the theft to the police and obtain a crime reference number

Has Your Property Been Damaged?

If your home is damaged:

  • do not start any repairs, unless it’s an emergency, your insurer needs to agree to the work before proceeding
  • do take photos of any damage
  • do check if you have Home Emergency Cover as you may be covered for repairs under this policy

If you’re making a large claim, be aware that the insurer may decide to send out a loss adjuster to confirm any damage or loss and assesses what repairs need to be carried out.

 

 

Has Your Property Been Burgled?

If you are burgled:

  • do report the burglary to the police and obtain a crime reference number
  • do list items stolen and be prepared to provide receipts and photographs as evidence of your claim
